Replace your builder carpet with vinyl plank
Most newer homes came with carpet in the bedrooms and upstairs. We take it out and install waterproof vinyl plank, usually within the same week, with our own crews. Plank from $1.70 a square foot, installation $1.75 a square foot.

Carpet replacement questions
How much does it cost to replace carpet with vinyl plank?
At our posted prices, a 12 x 12 ft bedroom in Made in USA 20 mil plank is about $567 installed, and a 900 sq ft upstairs is about $3,545, including a 10% waste allowance. Carpet removal, stairs and trim are priced after a measure.
Can you match the vinyl plank already downstairs?
Often, yes. Bring a photo or a spare plank to either store and we will find the closest match among the planks we carry, or suggest a floor that runs through the whole house so nothing has to match.
Do you remove the carpet and pad?
Yes. We pull the carpet, pad and tack strip, check the subfloor, and install. Baseboards often break when they are pried off because of all the nails, so in most cases we leave them in place and add shoe molding along the gap for a clean, finished edge. If you prefer, we can remove the baseboards and replace them with new ones.
Can you do stairs?
Yes. Stairs are priced per step after a measure, because the nosing and trim depend on how the stairs were built.
How long does it take?
We measure and install in the same week. In most cases we can install within 24 to 48 hours. A 1,000 sq ft job is usually finished in 1 day; 1,500 sq ft and up normally takes 2 days.
Is vinyl plank OK in bedrooms and upstairs?
Yes. Rigid core vinyl plank is waterproof, quiet with the right underlayment, and much easier to keep clean with kids and pets than carpet. For the most foot traffic, 22 or 28 mil wear layer plank holds up best.
