12mil waterproof LVP starts at $1.70 per square foot, 20mil commercial-grade LVP starts at $1.99 per square foot, and premium 8mm rigid core with a 28mil commercial wear layer starts at $3.49 per square foot. These are material prices at our Waco and Liberty Hill warehouses.
How does that compare to a retail flooring store?
Comparable 8mm construction with a 28mil commercial wear layer commonly sells at local retail flooring stores for $5.50 to $8.00 per square foot. The plank construction is the same; the difference is distributor and showroom markup.
How many boxes of vinyl plank do I need?
Take your room square footage, add a 10 percent cut allowance, then divide by the coverage per box and round up, because flooring is sold by the full box. The calculator on this page does that math using the real box coverage of a color we stock in each tier.
Does this estimate include installation?
No. The calculator prices material only. Installation, trim, subfloor leveling and tear-out depend on the condition of your space and are quoted after a measure.
